Rescue services nearest to you are promptly notified of your emergency and regularly advised of your current location to assist prompt rescue. The Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1 is a compact and robust safety device designed to provide peace of mind for individuals engaging in outdoor activities. The rescueME PLB1 beacon is known for its small size, being 30% smaller by volume compared to others, making it highly portable and easy to attach to a lifejacket or belt.
The PLB1 is equipped with a 66 channel GPS receiver, providing fast and accurate positioning to search and rescue services in case of an emergency. With a 7-year battery life and a 24+ hour operational life once activated, it is designed for longevity and reliability. Additionally, it features a high-intensity strobe light for increased visibility and a retractable antenna for ease of use. The Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1 is an essential safety tool for anyone venturing into remote or challenging environments, offering a lifeline that can be activated with the press of a button.
To register your Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1, you need to contact your national registration authority. This can typically be done via post, email, or online. You will be required to provide your 15-digit HEX ID (UIN), which is a unique identifier for your beacon. Along with these details, you should include your contact information and details of an emergency contact. Depending on your country, additional information such as boat type and identification or alternative emergency contacts might be required. Once you have all the necessary information, you can proceed with the registration process, which will add your device to the International Beacon Registration Database (IBRD), ensuring that in the event of an emergency, the distress signal transmitted by your PLB1 will be linked to your details for a swift search and rescue operation.
