This GMDSS-approved Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon utilizes a dual-frequency distress signal: a 406 MHz digital alert for global satellite notification via the Cospas-Sarsat system, and a simultaneous AIS (Automatic Identification System) VHF broadcast for immediate local beacon detection.
